After Restylane, it is important that you avoid strenuous exercise, sun and alcoholic beverages for the first 24 hours. Swelling may be noticeable at least for the first 48-72 hours; you can minimize it with indirect application of ice. Avoid touching the area during this time. Injectables can be lumpy or uneven, this can be resolved simply with a hot, moist washcloth applied to the area for 5 - 10 minutes along with a gentle massage until the area is smooth. This should be done within one week following treatment.
