Surgical Philosophy

If you are like most people, deciding to explore your cosmetic or reconstructive surgery options is a big decision. Choosing the right surgeon is the most important factor in making sure any procedure you decide on is successful.

Dr. Hunts graduated from the University of Arizona Medical School, and trained under world renowned physicians in Utah. Dr. Hunts has board certification from the American Academy of Ophthalmology and fellowship training from both the American Society of Ophthalmic Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and the American Society of Cosmetic Surgery, giving him the expertise to specialize solely in the eyelids and face. Board certification ensures that the latest techniques and most up to date training have been achieved.

Dr. Hunts understands that facial plastic surgery requires skill, judgment, and a willingness to be open and honest with his patients. Dr. Hunts is conservative in his approach to any surgery. You will know that while he is developing a treatment plan that he feels is most effective, your goals are kept in mind as well.

Dr. Hunts will not recommend cosmetic procedures unless he feels that you will benefit from them, and that you have realistic expectations of what the outcome will be. During your consultation with Dr. Hunts, you will have ample time to ask questions, and get to know one another. At this time, he can explain any and all procedures that you are interested in.

Blake Fausett, MD, PhD

“I have always enjoyed working with my hands and figuring out how things work. During residency, I found that my passion for repairing and understanding was best suited for a career in plastic and reconstructive surgery of the face and eyes. I find that meticulous attention to detail, while still focusing on the broad view, produces the best functional and cosmetic results.”

Dr. Fausett is a very talented surgeon specializing in the diagnosis and treatment of droopy eyelids, eyelid malposition, tearing disorders, eyelid and orbital tumors, orbital fractures, eyelid reconstruction and oculofacial cosmetic surgery. Outside the office, Dr. Fausett enjoys spending time outdoors with his wife and children.
