Yes, we do have a consultation fee. If your concern is primarily cosmetic, there is a cosmetic consultation fee. If you were referred by your eye doctor to evaluate a functional or reconstructive condition, we will bill your insurance for your evaluation, but you may have a co-pay depending on your insurance.

It depends on your condition and anatomy. Functional and reconstructive procedures are covered by insurance if you meet strict criteria. Schedule a consultation and talk with your insurance company to see if you meet the criteria.
It depends on whether you are having cosmetic or functional/reconstructive surgery. You will receive a cosmetic quote if you are having a cosmetic procedure, and a financial estimate if you are having a functional or reconstructive procedure. Keep in mind that the financial estimate is just that-an estimate based on assumptions provided by your insurance of your anticipated out-of-pocket costs, but it is not a final bill.

No, there should be no exercising, bending, lifting or straining for 7 days after surgery.
Bring your picture ID and Insurance cards on the day of surgery. If you live more than 1 hour away, bring : Kleenex, a small cooler for ice packs/frozen peas, sunglasses, and pain medication (if prescribed) for the drive home after surgery.
Most patients are able to return to work after a week of recovery. You may take longer to recover depending on your health and your procedure. Your doctor will give you specific instructions about your recovery at the time of surgery.
Yes, last-minute cancellations make it challenging to provide high-quality, affordable care to our patients as they prevent us from utilizing the limited time and resources available. In order to discourage cancellations, a $250 cancellation fee will be charged for cancelling within 48 hours of surgery. For cancellations with more than 48 hours notice but less than 1-week notice, there is a cancellation fee of $125.
